I arrived in Florence about a week ago, and i am struggling to find the words to describe it's beauty. The streets are beautiful, the people are beautiful, the language they speak is beautiful, and the food they eat is BEAUTIFUL.
Pictures cannot do the sights justice, but a little peak of what I'm seeing:
I live just around the corner from one of the most famous churches- Brunelleschi's Duomo, so I get to walk by in awe every single day. FURTHERMORE, you can see the Santa Maria del Fiore from my bedroom window!!
I live with 6 other girls, and fortunately, S loves to cook too! We share the duties of house cooks- and our first family dinner was GREAT SUCCESS! (insert Italian accent). We went to the market and bought fresh Gnocchi, pomodoros (tomatoes), basil, Parmesano, and Pollo (chicken). Mix it all together and made a fantastic meal complimented with vino rosso (reeedd reeed wine!!)
tirrin up tomato basil salad... I think I will turn into a tomato after this trip, we eat so many (I had tomato soup for lunch today)
And finally, but certainly very importantly, our first coffee with the macchinetta!! no coffee machines here :)
Ciao!!! until next week!
